I was just sitting here this morning thinking about how blessed my life is. It may not be perfect in the eyes of the world but to me blessings are overflowing. I posted on my blog a few days ago how I was unable to put in a garden this year and a friend brought me a bucket of tomatoes to my upline meeting last night because she read it on here. I am putting them to good use today! I have already made my families favorite BLT dip and now am getting ready to put up the rest. Praise God for good friends.
As I was cutting the tomatoes I was listening to praise music with my college age daughter as she was working at the kitchen table on her chemistry homework and we are singing together as my youngest daughter comes in from picking up her room (with no prompting from me believe it or not) and joins the chorus of song. My heart leaps when she says you wanna learn the "moves" to this song?! Well, let me put down the knife and wash my hands first. So we are now busting a move. What joy my Lord gives me today. Praise God for good daughters.
I look out the front door as my two sons are running the tractor, making quick work of the piles of dirt that have accumulated from the electric line that went bad. We had to dig up some of the asphalt driveway. My youngest comes in for a drink and says his older brother won't let him do anything other than run the tractor because he hurt his ankle last night at the football game. "Isn't that nice mom?" Praise God for good sons.
My husband, who says he has been dreaming of this day for 2 months, left to go to the Indianapolis Gun show. He was horribly torn though because he knows how much work needs to be done around here before we open our Deer Processing business in a month. He called me after about 40 minutes of leaving from home and said I don't need anything other than I wanted to let you know how much I miss you and wish you were here with me now. (heart still beats quicker after 27 years) Praise God for good husbands
If you stopped by to see my artwork today I promise to post on Monday. I probably won't be in the habit of posting on the weekends because when Deer Season arrives October 1st my weekends will be completely consumed and then I have the River Bend blog to update on the weekends instead. I just felt compelled to post about my blessings today. The Lord is So Good all the Time!
Enjoy!
