I have always said that one of the best things about Stampin' Up! coming into my life are the friends that I have made and that I believe that many of us will be lifelong friends even if <gasp> Stampin' Up! is no longer in my lfe.
Every month we get together as a "big" group and stamp together and share. Hence the name of our gatherings are Stamp & Share gatherings. I just want to share a couple of quick pictures I took at our gathering on Friday night.
One of the organizers is my friend and upline Meg Loven. She is one of my favorite people ever! She puts up with me and my shenanigans and for that I have her at the top of my lifelong friends list. She is a great business woman and although I am sure she can get frustrated with me at times I have learned a lot from her and she has tollerated a lot from me.
She keeps the gathering moving a long and also gave a great business topic where I really think we all learned something new that we did not know before.
This is my friend Kim Schultz she was our Swap coordinator that evening. We always do a swap and then we all vote on our favorite swap. This beautiful card won the top swap for the evening, it was created by another good friend Margo Richardson. Congrats Margo!
Here is my friend Paula Ingram doing a little demonstration on Project Life. She explained how easy it was, how versatile and then gave all of us a few tips and suggestions. Project Life is such a great way of memory keeping. I can't get over how much fun it is for this non-scrapbooker. Paula is known as our resident scrapbooker and she can scrap an enormous number of pages at our early retreat. I'm talking close to 200 pages I think! Amazing.
See the Video Camera that Meg is running? That is because she records the meetings for all those who live far away. We are demonstrators from all over the country and she's so great about having everyone feel included in some way.
This was my swap for the evening. I will admit it is a very non tradional type of a baby card but I kinda liked the idea. I think everyone else was in the christmas spirit because all the other cards in the swap were christmas. (Perhaps I missed the memo that we were supposed to do Christmas cards it wouldn't be the first time and truthfully it all makes sense because we need the Christmas card ideas!) Guess I was a non conformist that evening.
I colored the cowboy hat and pearls with my blendability Markers. I love that I can use them to color my Pearls and Rhinestones to match my projects.
If you want to know how I did the Chalkboard check out this older post here
Here are the supplies I used on my card if you want to duplicate it.
Enjoy!
