Hello my name is Mary Ellen and I have been missing from the blog world for a very long time. Way to long! I do not like when I go on others blogs and see them say I am back...but for lack of knowing what to say, I am back! It's not because I have not been "doing" Stampin' Up! but because I HAVE been "doing" Stampin' Up! A lot of Stampin' Up! I love my job and if you follow me you know that last year I committed to earning my first incentive trip with my accountability partner and buddy Betsy over at BCreative Stampers.
Well, we did it! We just returned a couple weeks ago from Sunny New Port Beach California and had a wonderful time! It was all we had hoped for and so much more. We kept our husbands so busy doing tons of activities anywhere from the zoo to whale watching and even a behind the scenes tour of Hollywood. It was So much fun. Here we are on our whale watching excursion near the end of our week.
I know you came here to see a beautiful card and so with no more chatter I want to share this beautiful card that I created for last nights Card Keeper Class. It was inspired by a swap I received from BJ Peters at the Stampin' Up! convention this summer. We were in a swap with other leaders (Senior Managers and above). Her card was very similar but one layer so I decided to step it up just slightly because it really was gorgeous on it's own. I added the layer of black. I love the watercolor look you get with the "Garden in Bloom" #139433 stamp set. I love that it is in Photopolymer (means that it is completely clear) because you get perfect placement every time!
I loved that BJ had stamped a cute little bee on her card but honestly when I was designing my card that darn bee was no where to be found! I did finally find it as I was picking up things off my desk to head off to class but by then it had been replaced by this cute little butterfly. Here are the Supplies I used and links to my online store if you want to make this card or a similar pretty card! Stay tuned after the product list I have to show you one more obsession of mine...

While we were in La Jolla California we ate lunch on a college campus which overlooked the ocean. These kids have it so rough LOL but we ended up talking to a group of 6 of them and they turned us on to a delicous Gelato place. Well I am not sure if it was the atmosphere or the company but I had something delicious and for the life of me I can not remember what they called it but it was a double shot of espresso over a scoop of Salted Carmel Gelato. It was SO Good that if it weren't for the super shot of caffeine I would have gone back for a second. Well, confession time. I am enjoying my version of this sweet pick me up as I write this blog post.
So as I started this post... Hello, my name is Mary Ellen and not only am I back BUT...I have a sweet tooth. Are you a member of this club?
Enjoy!
M.E.
