I knew this set was going to be a must have the minute I saw it. A combination of images and textures. The best of both worlds to me. I see so many possibilities with it. Here is the first thing I ever made with it.
It was fun to use some great accessories on this card that added more texture. The new 5/8" Burlap ribbon and the Fabulous Foil Acetate. Some Gold Glitter that I added with a splat!
Here is how to add your own Glitter to a card in a random splatter pattern. Squeeze some Multipurpose Liquid Glue into a small container and add a few drops of water to make it easy to pick up with your Aqua Painter, or Paint Brush. Load up your brush and tap it over your finger over your card to get some spots of glue. Then sprinkle or dip your card into your glitter color of choice. Let dry and Voila' you get a fun splatter of bling. I also used one of the new metallic enamel shapes in gold to mimic the gold glitter on the front of the card.
If you notice this card has a watercolor look. What I did to achieve that is to use Watercolor paper, ink my stamps up, then spritz my stamp with water before stamping it on the paper. It bleeds a little giving it more fun texture.
I finished this card off with a great greeting from the new set called Flourishing Phrases die cut with Rose Garden Dies. The inside says "So He Made You". Isn't that just wonderful? Who wouldn't like to be reminded that God Loves Them in this special way?
The Product List is below if you would like to add some of them to your "collection" of wonderful stamping supplies.
Enjoy!
