I am still having fun with the watercoloring technique I shared earlier this week here. A little Stampin' Marker and an Aqua Painter to color this image. I actually dotted the center of many of the florettes (ok another horticulturist term from my past ;-) with the new Concord Crush marker and then spread that color out from the centers with my Aqua Painter. When an image has shading already in it like this one does it couldn't get any easier. Add your color where the dark hashmarks are on the stamped image then pull the color out to the lighter areas and voila' you are an instant artist and with watercoloring you don't even have to color inside the lines for it to look great! My favorite part!
Here is a close-up of the image. My photography on this card was less then lovely sadly. Notice I finished the main image off with a spritz of marker in my Color spritzing tool. (LOVE IT!) then I had sponged the edges of the image to soften it.
Lastly to finish off this card I stamped the words in versamark all over the background. It is a simple idea but really finished off this card. NO I did not use a stamp-a-ma-jig for the background, YES, you can use one but I am an "eye-ball it" girl from the get-go and while I admit there are many times when a Stamp-a-ma-jig is my favorite friend this is not one of them. Just give it a try!
